While researching the new book, I was shocked to discover that we can only see the tip of the Big Data iceberg. [InfoSys](https://www.infosysblogs.com/bigdata/2013/02/big%5Fdata%5Fenabled%5Fenterprise.html?ref=philsimon.com) has put together a visual on [the "dark" nature of Big Data](https://www.business2community.com/infographics/visualizing-big-data-so-we-can-understand-the-dark-data-0419293?ref=philsimon.com). How deep and dark? Extremely.

The lesson here: Think about the enormity of the data out there. What you can't see is actually much bigger than what you can see.
