I recently sat down [Jordan Rudess](https://rudess/?ref=philsimon.com) in Las Vegas before [the Vegas Rocks! show](https://www.lasvegas.com/event/vegas-rocks-magazine-awards-show-2013/19598/?ref=philsimon.com). Yes, Rudess is primarily known as the keyboardist, Continuum-player, multi-instrumentalist for the Grammy-nominated prog rock/metal icons [Dream Theater](https://theater/?ref=philsimon.com). The band is releasing its new, [self-titled studio album](https://www.amazon.com/Dream-Theater/dp/B00DJ80VLS?ref=philsimon.com) next month. But the man at any given time has a bevy of projects going on. I wonder if he ever sleeps.

He recently funded a project via [PledgeMusic](https://www.pledgemusic.com/blog/598-jordan-rudess-marries-rock-and-classical-music-on-explorations?ref=philsimon.com) called "Explorations." We also talked about his collaboration with [Tony Levin and Marco Minneman](https://www.levinminnemannrudess.com/?ref=philsimon.com) and his iOS latest app, [EarWizard](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/earwizard/id599466971?l=en&ls=1&mt=8&ref=philsimon.com).
