People like to talk about which one of the Gang of Four (Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google) will win the Great Tech War of 2012 and beyond. I find most of this talk to be misplaced. In the Age of the Platform, there will be multiple winners.

Facebook won't be knocking Amazon off of its retail perch any more than Amazon will be more social than Facebook. Why?

Because Amazon is really freakin' big ...
