Anyone catch this the other day? Apple [put the old version of Final Cut Pro back on sale](https://on.mash.to/obCey6?ref=philsimon.com).

The [backlash](https://mashable.com/2011/06/29/final-cut-pro-x-backlash/?ref=philsimon.com) against the new version of the company's video editing software has bee pretty substantial.

The lessons here in terms of building a platform:

- Don't be afraid to admit mistakes. Imagine how many customers Apple just saved from looking at alternatives to Final Cut Pro?
- Don't argue with your users and customers. Listen to them.

How much would you like to bet that Apple just saved a bunch of customers by reversing course?
