The [results](https://techland.time.com/2012/01/25/8-mind-blowing-facts-from-apples-q1-earnings/?ref=philsimon.com) are in and they are beyond impressive. Apple's stock is at an all-time high and the company recently eclipsed Exxon as the world's most valuable company.

Note that the last quarter contained 14 weeks, as my friend Mark Cenicola of [BannerView](https://www.bannerview.com/?ref=philsimon.com) pointed out. And you had the holidays. So, maybe things are a little inflated.

Can Apple's growth continue?

I say *yes*.

Apple's transformation over the last decade into a platform company is the major reason for its success today. Amazon, Facebook, and Google have taken queues from Apple's playbook and, to varying extents, have seen similar results.
