Two years ago, virtually no one used the term Big Data. Fast forward to 2014 and nothing could be further from the truth. The amount of hype surrounding Big Data is nothing short of astonishing. This begs the question, Who's to blame? Thank social media, consulting firms, software vendors, and even many thought leaders and authors.
