EDUCATION IS NOT THE FILLING OF A POT BUT THE LIGHTING OF A FIRE.
—W.B. YEATS
Starting in August of 2016, I served as a full-time faculty member at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. In May of 2020, I decided to spread my wings. I still keep one foot in higher education, though, as a professor-for-hire. I suspect that I’ll return to academia at some point, ideally as a professor of practice at a school that truly values the contributions of its teaching faculty. Alternatively, I could see working for an organization that seeks to disrupt higher education. Location-wise, the idea of teaching in another country appeals to me.
