Are modern-day platforms such as Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google similar to early and mid-20th century monopolies? Do Bezos and Zuckerberg resemble Carnegie and Rockefeller?

In short, no.

Sorry, Mr. Reich. It's just plain silly to think of Big Tech along the same lines as Big Oil or Big Steel.
