I got the proofs today for The New Small. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I’m more than a bit jazzed at finally seeing all of my work in a sexier format. Nothing against Microsoft Word, but it isn’t a design program. Adobe’s InDesign is amazing at laying out a book–not that I would know. Kudos to Kristen Eckstein for all of her work. We’re still making a few changes, but I really think that concept inside is pretty neat.
Does writing a book resemble the Waterfall method or Scrum? Yes.
A book is that rare breed of product that fuses two very different ways to build a mousetrap.
BTW, I have updated Chapter 1 to reflect its final format and changes.
