A recent ReadWriteWeb piece looks at the state of Yahoo! and its recent decision to sue Facebook for patent infringement. From the article:

I’m inclined to agree. Yahoo! has fallen like other tech powerhouses over the last ten years (read: AOL, MySpace, and even Microsoft to some extent). Despite its high Alexa ranking, Yahoo! is essentially irrelevant. It’s not entirely similar to Kodak, a company also relying upon lawyers more than product development teams. Its recent actions speak volumes about the state of the company, even if the lawsuit has merit.
